About Ms. Kasic

I am so excited to have you in my classroom this year! In this class we will be sharpening our reading, analyzing, writing, reasoning, speaking, listening, and research skills. I strive to create a curriculum that will benefit students by engaging them in texts (books, articles, short stories, and multimedia) and having them create both formal academic writing and their own multimedia texts and presentations. For me, English class is about learning how to explore and engage with the greater world around us.

A little about me: I graduated from Colorado State University in 2017, with an English degree and license in secondary English education. This will be my fifth year at CCMS. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and to prepare for my career, I spent three months teaching in Livingston, Zambia. Outside the classroom, I am an avid skier, enjoy reading, and try to spend as much time outdoors as I can.

This year will be my third year coaching the middle school cross country team. I also teach an academic success class as an elective.

What can you find as part of my staff profile?
